What does UnitSnap do?

UnitSnap is a unit and currency converter for iPhone and iPad. You type the quantity the way you would write it, such as 5 km, 350f, 1 1/2 cups or 4800 yen, and the answer appears as you type. It covers hundreds of units and 160+ currencies.

Is UnitSnap a subscription?

No. UnitSnap is paid once, $2.99. No subscription and no ads.

Do I need an account?

No. UnitSnap does not use an account.

What data does UnitSnap collect?

None. The App Store privacy label for UnitSnap is “Data Not Collected”: the developer does not collect any data from this app. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The privacy policy at unitsnapapp.com/privacy sets out what stays on your device.

How do I convert a unit?

Type a number and a unit in the box, for example 5 km, 350f (no space needed), 1 1/2 cups or 5'11". To name the target unit yourself, type it after “in”, as in 400 g in oz.

How do I convert currency?

Type the amount and the currency in the same box, for example 4800 yen or 40 usd in eur. Rates come from the European Central Bank's published reference rates, with a second public source for currencies the ECB does not cover, and UnitSnap tells you in words how old the rate is. These are reference rates, not the rate your bank or card issuer will give you.

How do I make a unit the default answer?

Tap the row of the unit you want once. For example, if 400 g answers in ounces and you want pounds, tap the pounds row, and weights will answer in pounds from then on. The other unit moves down the list rather than disappearing.

Does UnitSnap work offline?

Every conversion except live currency is computed on the device and works with no signal. Currency uses the last rates it successfully fetched and tells you how old they are.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple ID used to buy the app. Jaceal LLC cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected]. Include your iOS version and the exact line you typed, and it will be answered faster.

iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later, or iPad with iPadOS 17.0 or later. The App Store listing also lists Mac with macOS 14.0 or later and an Apple M1 chip or later.
